Shirley June (Spellman) Stirewalt (96) of Mt. Vernon, went to her heavenly home December 13, 2018. Shirley was born June 4, 1922 to Jesse and Anna (Dumbroski) Spellman in Stanton NE. She married S. Robert Stirewalt on June 23, 1940 and to this union they were blessed with four children.
Ray Howard Perry, 61, of Aurora, passed away Dec. 4, 2018, at his home in Aurora. Perry was born in Monett Oct. 18, 1957, to Ray and Charlene (Garoute) Perry. He devoted his life to law enforcement and served as a deputy sheriff for two years in Lawrence County, served in the U.S.

Wanda Hicklin, 81, of Mt. Vernon passed away Dec. 11, 2018. Hicklin was born Jan. 27, 1937, in Mt. Vernon, she was a lifetime resident and worked as a bookkeeper for Blevins Asphalt as well as various businesses in town.
