April Nicole Jones

April Nicole Jones, 41, of Exeter, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026.

She was born Aug. 13, 1984 in Blountstown, Fla., the daughter of James “Rabbit” and Gail Elizabeth (Desrosiers) Peters and Jim and Julie Hewitt. On July 4, 2016 in Cassville, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Jones, who survives. Also surviving are her father, James “Rabbit” Peters; sons, David Jones of Exeter, and Ryan Kubowicz of Colorado; daughters, Ruth Jones of Exeter, and Tabitha Hall and husband Caleb of Kerrville, Texas; brothers, Alan of Blountstown, Fla., Jamie Peters of Blountstown, Fla. and Joshua Peters of Blountstown, Fla.; sisters, Carrie Polanco of Rockport, Texas, Tina Whitehurst of Clarksville, Fla., Alisha Peters of Florida and Layonni Keys of Houston, Texas, and four step-grandchildren. 

Preceding her in death were her mother, Gail Elizabeth Robinson; parents, Jim and Julie Hewitt and stepson, Kenneth Jones, II.

A celebration of life will be held at noon on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at American Legion Post 118 Memorial Park in Cassville. Brother Tony Ball will conduct the service. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
