Bean & Pea Salad

The Record’s “Recipe of the Week”:
Bean & Pea Salad by Anna Mae Maple

1 can french style green beans
1 can small early peas
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup diced celery
Diced pimento
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
1/4 tsp. salt

Drain the green beans and peas. Set aside in a bowl.

Combine the sugar, vinegar, and salt. Pour over the beans and peas. Add the onion, celery, and pimento.

Let set for 24 hours in the refrigerator. The longer it sets, the better it is.
