Beef Tips and Gravy

The Record’s “Recipe of the Week”:
Beef Tips and Gravy by Naoma Williams

2 lbs. stew meat, cut into cubes
Canola oil
Chopped onion
Diagonally-cut celery
Baby carrots
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1 can golden mushroom soup
1 cup Coke
1 pkg. Amish-style homemade noodles

Saute stew meat in a little canola oil.

Place the vegetables in the bottom of a slow cooker. Place the meat on top of the vegetables.

Combine the soups and Coke. Pour over the meat. Cook on high for 1 hour, then reduce the heat to low and cook an additional 4 hours.

Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain. Stir into the beef mixture and serve immediately.
