Betty Lovins

Betty Lovins, 85, of Aurora, passed away Feb. 18, 2019 with her friend Lisa by her side. She was born June 17, 1933, in Jefferson City, to the late Ernest and Matilda (Lammers) Green.
She loved her Savior Jesus Christ and was a member of the Orange Cumberland Church north of Aurora. She will be missed by everyone at the church, especially by her friends Don and Betty, who brought her to church each week, and Dorothy who sat with her each Sunday. Lovins also had many other loves in her life like her St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs. She was always glad to talk sports with anyone at any time. She always enjoyed playing cards and board games with her friends. She was a secretary for Payless and a past president of the Gladstone VFW Auxiliary post 10906. She also worked as an accountant, directly for Sam and Bud Walton just before Sam opened Walmart.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband of 65 years, Charles “Bud” Lovins who passed away in 2015.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Terrace Park Cemetery’s Lake Side Chapel. 801 NW 108th Street, Kansas City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Orange Cumberland Church 17246 K Hwy. Aurora, Mo 65605.
