Caramel Pull-Aparts

The Record’s “Recipe of the Week”:
Caramel Pull-Aparts by Christina Gibson

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 stick butter or margarine (1/4 cup)
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
2 cups Bisquick mix
Water, as desired
1/2 cup vegetable oil (approx.)
1 cup sugar
3 tsp. cinnamon

Mix together the brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup with an electric mixer until well blended. Coat the sides and bottom of a large angel food cake pane with this micture. Sprinkle the nuts on the bottom.

Combine the cinnamon and sugar then set aside. Combine the Bisquick mix and enough water to make a stiff dough. Drop dough by tablespoons into oil. Roll the oiled dough balls in cinnamon/sugar mixture. Place side by side into the pan, approx. 10 to 12. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until brown.
