Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies

Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies by Abby Schubert
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 pkg. (4 oz.) instant vanilla pudding
2-1/2 cups flour
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1 cup nuts (optional)
Combine the butter and sugars. Beat until creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Add the baking soda, pudding, and flour. Mix well. Add the chocolate chips and nuts. Stir together.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.
