Dakota Howard Williams-Menear

Dakota Howard Williams-Menear, 17, of Hoberg, passed away Oct. 11, 2018, at his home. He was born Aug. 31, 2001, in Springfield, to Dustin and Rana (Rash) Williams.
Williams was a student at Mt. Vernon High School and was a patient with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He attended Summit Baptist Church and Lifebridge Assembly of God Church in Mt. Vernon.
He is survived by: his parents and his other mother, Sheila Zook all of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Raven Menear of Mt. Vernon and Maci Williams of Wichita, Kan.; brothers, Trenton Menear of Mt. Vernon, Dylan Stumph of Webb City, Travis Sims of Wichita, Kan. and Kyle Menear of Sarcoxie; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Geri Rash, of Hoberg; and a host of family.
His paternal grandparents, Raymond and Florence Menear and great-grandparents preceded him in death.
A funeral service, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, was held Oct. 17, 2018, at the Northside Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. Burial followed at the Mt. Vernon City Cemetery. Visitation was held Oct. 16, 2018, at the church.
