Edward Eugene Mapes

Edward Eugene Mapes, 74, of Aurora passed away May 5, 2020 in his home. He was born to Cecil and Marguirite Claycamp Mapes March 31, 1946 in Barnes, Kan. He was a retired truck driver and farmer.
Survivors include: wife, Marilyn Mapes; sons, Chris (Lora) Mapes of Monument, N.M., David (Jolene) Mapes of Joplin, Gary Compton of Chetopa, Kan., Danny (Dawn) Compton of Leach, Okla. and Joey Ceravlo of Siloam Springs, Ark.; daughters, Vida Mann of Canton, Kan., Darlene Alvis, Kim Carlson, Gwenlyn (Bob) Mapes all of McPherson, Kan. and Susie Compton of Decatur, Ark.; brother, Bill (Shelly) Mapes of Wichita, Kan.; sisters, Barbara (Donald) Liles of Aurora, Gloria (Jerry) Belcher of Wiscounsin and Karen Warburton of Lafayette, La.; 40 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
No services are planned. Arrangements are under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel.
