Elvis Woodrow Proffer

Elvis Woodrow Proffer, 94, of Aurora passed away March 15, 2019, in his home.
He was born to Elvis and Dorothy Mills Proffer Feb. 9, 1925, in Marquand. He was a retired machinist and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include: wife, Rayola; sons, Terry Proffer of Denver, Colo. and Sam (Beverly) Proffer of Cortez, Colo.; brother, Gene Proffer of Fredricktown; sister, Donna Farmer of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bob Proffer.
Graveside services were held March 21, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield with full military honors under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel.
