Fresh Apple Cake

The Record’s “Recipe of the Week”:
Fresh Apple Cake by Frances Strong

4 cups sliced apples
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups chopped nuts
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon

Combine the first six ingredients and mix well.

Combine the remaining four ingredients. Add to the apple mixture and stir as little as possible.

Pour into a greased 13” x 9” pan. Bake at 325° for one hour.
