Gladys Rose Filarski

Gladys Rose Filarski, 91, of Sarcoxie passed away Dec. 25, 2020 at the Sarcoxie Nursing Center.
Filarski was born on Nov. 2, 1929 in rural Sarcoxie to the union of the late John and Florence (Knoetzel) Szydloski. She was a 1947 graduate of Diamond High School. On May 23, 1953 she was united in marriage to Frank Filarski at Eureka Springs, Ark. Together they shared 64 years until his passing on June 9, 2017. For 22-plus years she was employed with Juvenile Shoe in Sarcoxie, as well as selling Avon products for 12 years. She became a Catholic at a very young age. She was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Sarcoxie.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and her siblings, John Szydloski, Wayne Szydloski, Helen Boursheski, Mildred Holland, Agnes Stroud and Pauline Raper.
Graveside funeral services were held Dec. 31, 2020 at the Sarcoxie Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie.
