Irene “Marie” Vanzandt

Irene “Marie” Vanzandt, 86, of Washburn, passed away Oct. 15, 2018 at her home.
She was born Dec. 12, 1931, in Washburn. In 1948, she was married to Kenneth Vanzandt, who preceded her in death in 1985.Vanzandt grew up and received her education in Washburn, where she was a life long resident. She was a member of Mission Baptist Church in Washburn. Some of her favorite pastimes were gardening, cooking, embroidering, sewing, quilting and dancing.
Vanzandt is survived by: son, Kenny (Bobbi) Vanzandt Seligman; daughter, Jeannie Nickell of Cassville; brother, Jimmie Hendrix of Cassville; sister, Allene (Robert) Taylor of Exeter. She is preceded in death by: one daughter, Linda Vanzandt and her mother, Helen (Henry) Houston.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 28, 2018, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
