KIM LYNORA (PECKHAM) HUNTER

Kim Lynora (Peckham) Hunter, 64, of Aurora passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025. She was born in Newton, Kan. on June 7, 1960; one of three daughters born to Donald Dean and Eva Lorraine (Smith) Peckham.
She graduated from Sarcoxie High School in 1978. She enjoyed being on the volleyball team as well as the Bear mascot. She also worked at the Sarcoxie swimming pool.
After graduation, she attended MSSC and Draughon’s Business College in Joplin and later Flight Attendant School in Chicago, where she lived for two years.
She married Phillip Hunter of Carthage in 1983.
She worked at Casey’s in Aurora and Marionville and most recently at Kum & Go in Mt. Vernon.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip; daughters and their spouses, Laura (Lawrence) Jahn and Kirby (Cornell Harbin) Hunter; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter on the way; her mother, Eva Lorraine Peckham; sisters, Jan Peckham and Pam (Dan) Cunningham; her niece and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; father, Donald Dean Peckham; and uncle, Larry Peckham.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Freedom Christian Fellowship Church in Sarcoxie.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Housch-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie.
