Lonnie Glen Wells

Lonnie Glen Wells was born on Oct. 27, 1930 and passed away Sunday, April 19, 

He was married to the love of his life, Hazel Ruth (Pointer) Wells, on Aug. 11, 1950, with whom he shared a lifetime of partnership. Surviving are his wife, Hazel Wells; children, Glen Wells and wife Shelley, Jess Wells and wife Karen, and LaDonna Johnson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren. and great-great-grandchildren,

Preceding him in death were his daughter Kathyrn Wells; son Johnny Wells, and grandson Troy Michael Wells.

Wells will be remembered for his work ethic, his stories, his strong opinions, his humor, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the land he worked, the values he passed down, and the many stories that will continue to be told again and again.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Richard Anderson will conduct the services. Burial will be at Rocky Comfort Cemetery in Rocky Comfort.

The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
