Fifteen members of Mt. Vernon High School FFA advance to districts
Twenty-one members of the Mt. Vernon High School FFA attended the Missouri Speakers Convention which was held on Monday, Oct. 23, at McDonald County High School. Out of the 21 who attended, 15 will be moving on to districts. The following students qualified for districts: Kade Jenkins, Gavin Mace, Bethany Faminmoff, Eevie Jones, Emma Moore, Savannah Berg, Cooper Presley, Emily Fox, Myah Neimeyer, Lindsay McDonald, Dakota Meschberger, Liam Hansen, Ryleigh Misemer, Rylee Mussulman and Colton Aleshire.
 
Miller H.S. FFA excels at Missouri Speakers Convention
Fourteen members of the Miller High School FFA attended the Missouri Speakers Convention which was held on Monday, Oct. 23, at McDonald County High School. Out of the 14 who attended, eight will be moving on to districts and two are alternates. The following students qualified for districts: Missouri Pork Association, second place, Eli Bowles; Farm Bureau- first place, Kailey Hull; Missouri Institute of Cooperatives- first place, Lauryn Landers and second place, Kendall Neely; Missouri Forest Products, second place Morgan Holton and third place, Mya Lowery; Missouri Sheep Producers, third place, Kaylee Thom; and  Missouri Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts, first place, Emma Butler. The alternates are: Missouri Pork Associatioin, fourth place, Paul Nunez and Missouri Young Farmers/Young Farm Wives, fourth place, Trista Hendrix.
