Mt. Vernon High School cheer squad headed to state competition

The Mt. Vernon High School Co-ed Cheer squad traveled to Liberty High School for the Kansas City Regional Cheer Competition on Sunday, Sept. 29. The team competed and placed fifth in the Large Co-ed Division and qualified for the state competition in November. The team will be competing at the University of Missouri in Columbia on Nov. 2, where they hope to cheer their way to victory.
