Mt. Vernon Rotary hosts 2nd annual car show downtown over weekend

The Rotary Club of Mt. Vernon held its second annual car show at the Lawrence County Justice Center Parking lot, just north of the Mt. Vernon city square, on Saturday, April 30.
The show featured a combination of muscle cars, classic cars, street rods, antique cars and motorcycles. Almost 60 vehicles were entered into the auto showcase. The top 28 entries received trophies, and there were also 10 honorable mentions. The event raised an estimated $3,000 for the Rotary Club’s Mt. Vernon High School scholarship program.
