Mt. Vernon School District names MVP

Shown above, Logan Alumbaugh receives his MVP plaque from Mt. Vernon Board of Education President Danny Bowling after he was named October MVP for the school district.

On Thursday, Oct. 19, the Mt. Vernon School Board presented Logan Alumbaugh with the October MVP Award. Alumbaugh is a PE teacher at the Mt. Vernon Intermediate School.
When nominating him for MVP, some of his peers said:

“Coach Alumbaugh has multiple roles in the district. He sets high standards for himself and for those around, both staff and students alike. He works hard to help his students to be better people and sets a tremendous example for them to follow.”

“Coach Alumbaugh always has a smile on his face. He is just genuinely happy and is a joy to be around. He brightens the day just by walking in the room. His gentle manner with others garners great respect. Probably an even greater trait is his ability to “see” people. He takes a genuine interest in people. Always.”

“ Although Coach Alumbaugh primarily teaches at the Intermediate School, he devotes one hour of his day to the Early Learning Center in order to give the ELC teachers a break. He is always willing to take one for the team and never, ever complains.”

“Coach Alumbaugh has a sweet spirit that is contagious. He positively impacts everyone with whom he comes in contact.
