The Record’s “Recipe of the Week”: Noodles & Stuff by Norma Hicks

• 1 pkg. wide noodles
• 2 lbs. ground chuck
• 1 medium onion, chopped
• 1 green pepper, chopped
• Salt
• Black Pepper
• Garlic Powder
• 1 #2 can of tomatoes
• 1 T. sugar
• 1 jar sliced mushrooms
• Parmesan cheese
• Sharp cheese, shredded
• Paprika
• Parsley

1) Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain. Set aside.

2) Brown the ground chuck in a skillet. Season to taste with salt, black pepper, and garlic. Add chopped onion and chopped green pepper. Cook together until onion and pepper are tender. Add the tomatoes and sugar. Add the mushrooms and simmer together for several minutes.

3) Add the meat mixture to the drained noodles and mix together. Pour into a greased 9x13 casserole dish. Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese. Cover the shredded sharp cheese. Sprinkle with paprika and parsley. Bake at 350° until bubbly.
