Oreo Layered Dessert

The Record’s “Recipe of the Week”:
Oreo Layered Dessert by Judy Adam

1-1/4 lbs. regular Oreo cookies
1 stick margarine
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
16 oz. Cool Whip
2 boxes instant chocolate pudding
3-1/2 cups milk

Crush the cookies (in a food processor if available). Save back 1 cup for the top.

Melt the margarine and mix with the remaining crushed cookies. Press into a 9”x12” pan for the bottom layer.

Combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 8 oz. Cool Whip. Spread over the crust for the second layer.

Combine the pudding mix and milk. Pour into the pan for the third layer. Chill until the pudding sets. Spread the remaining Cool Whip on top. Sprinkle with the reserved cookie crumbs.
