Quintessa Faith Ariel Boatright

Quintessa “Quin” Faith Ariel Boatright, 19, passed away on Aug. 23, 2025 after a 2 ½ year journey with ovarian cancer.
She was born in Joplin to Phillip and Myra Boatright. She graduated high school in May of 2024, and had participated in many of the area’s homeschool co-ops including HSN, Classical Conversations, and C4. She worked briefly at Braum’s, where she thoroughly enjoyed talking with the variety of customers who would stop by. Many crafts and arts filled her time. She was a novice cosplayer, seamstress, painter, aspiring author, and the last few months had become a jeweler of unique twisted and formed jewelry that she enjoyed handing out to cheer people up. She had plans on becoming an Electrical Engineer that changed to Medical Device Engineer after her first run through of chemo. Although she will not be able to create her devices, she has left many sketches and ideas the family hopes to pass onto knowledgeable people later on.
She was always looking for ways to brighten someone’s day. Throughout her whole journey with cancer she was amazing. Her attitude inspired everyone around her. Instead of despair and depression she shared her hope and inspiration with anyone she made contact with.
She is survived by her parents and four siblings who hope to live up to her good example.
She had a celebration of life on Aug. 16, where many of her friends and family came to love on her one more time.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a donation to Grace’s Toy Closet, a charity for oncology patients. www.gracestoycloset.com/donate-shop.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett.
