Sidewalk work nears completion

Crews are nearly finihsed with sidewalk work along Hickory Street in Mt. Vernon. Earlier reports from the contractor and city state that work should be finished by July 1. Much of the concrete has been poured to this point but remains wet as of June 26. If work is not finished before July 1, financial penalities may be incurred.
