Sweet & Sour Meatloaf

The Record’s “Recipe of the Week”:
Sweet and Sour Meatloaf by Meda McVey

1-1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 cup bread crumbs
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 small onion, chopped, or 1 tsp. onion flakes
15 oz. can tomato sauce
2 T. brown sugar
2 T. vinegar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 tsp. prepared mustard

Combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, onion and half of the tomato sauce. Form into a loaf, wrap in foil and place into a baking pan. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.

Combine the remaining tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, white sugar, and mustard in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over the meat loaf and bake another 10 minutes.
