Vanilla Wafer Cake

The Record’s “Recipe of the Week”:
Vanilla Wafer Cake by Ellen Austin

2 sticks margarine
2 cups white sugar
6 whole eggs
One 12-oz. box vanilla wafers, crushed
1/2 cup sweet milk
One 7-oz. pkg. flaked coconut
1 cup chopped black walnuts or pecans

Cream together the margarine and sugar. Add the whole eggs, one at a time, and beat after each is added. Add the crushed wafers alternately with the milk. Add the coconut and chopped nuts.

Bake in a greased and floured tube cake pan at 325° for 75 minutes.
