XE VUE

Xe Vue, 81, of Stark City passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024. She was born Nov. 13, 1942, in Phou Khe, Laos; the oldest daughter of Txiab Leej Vwj and Ntxoov Yaj.
In 1982, she fled the communist country of Laos to come to the United States seeking a better life with her son, Thomas Vue. She went to school learned how to speak and write English and was able find a job at The American Club in Kohler, Wis. where she worked for 10 years. She retired, became a grandmother and homemaker whilst her son served the United States Army in the Desert Storm, Iraq Freedom and Desert Shields.
She is survived by her son Thomas and daughter-in-law, La; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brothers: Nao Chao Vue, Tong Vue and Soua Vue; two sisters, Ky Vue (Niam Xaiv Vaj Yaj) and May Vue; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.
Services will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, and from 7 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, until 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, at Dice Cemetery in Fairview.
