ROBERT “BOB” HERNDON

Robert “Bob” Herndon, 88, of Marionville, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026,  at The Ozarks Methodist Manor in Marionville.

He was united in marriage to Sara Carver Herndon for 65 years. Sara preceded him in death. Together, they owned and operated Herndon Orchard for more than 30 years.

He participated in the Cattlemen’s Association, the Marionville Booster Club, where he was honored as Fan of the Year, the Lions Club, and a local golf league. He graduated in 1955 and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Ann (Larry) Leavitt, and Kay (Sidney) Kerans. He is also survived by his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. 

A gathering to celebrate his  life will be held on August 23, which would have marked their 70th wedding anniversary. 

In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations to be made to the Marionville First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 519 Marionville.
