Alice Meador Foster

Alice Meador Foster, 98, passed away March 21, 2019, at Lacoba Care Center. Foster was born Nov. 18, 1920, to Elmer and Bess Jones Meador. She graduated from Monett High School and the University of Missouri. After obtaining her teaching degree, she taught home economics in the Dixon, Mt. Vernon and Monett school systems, retiring in 1952.She married Kenneth Foster in 1950, he preceded her in death in 2009, and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: daughters, Peggy Kessinger of Carthage and Deena (Mike) DeMuri of Buffalo; sons, Robert Foster of Monett and George (Nikki) Foster of Monett; and two grandchildren.
After cremation, graveside services will be held March 27, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Monett I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormingotn Funeral Home.
