Andy Smith

Andy Smith, 48, of Monett, passed away Dec. 16, 2019.
Smith was born in 1971 in Mountain View. He graduated from Monett High School with the class of 1989 and then earned his associates degree in respiratory therapy. He then furthered his education at Crowder College and finally earned his associates degree in nursing from Excelsior University, New York. In 1995 he married Kristi Chestnut.
Smith is survived by: wife, Kristi, of the home; son, Jacob (Sarah) Smith; daughter, Abigail Smith; mother, Cheryl Karr, all of Monett; brothers, James (Sue) Smith of Wynona and David (Audra) Smith of Rogers, Ark.; sister, Dorothea Star Whitworth, of Morrisville; one grandson; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Karr.
Funeral services were held Dec. 20, 2019 at Buchanan. Interment followed in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Homein Monett.
