April Marae (West) McKinnis

April Marae (West) McKinnis, 40, of Sarcoxie passed away June 13, 2021 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.
McKinnis was born Feb. 19, 1981 in Joplin to the union of John and Debbie (Settles) West. She was a graduate of College Heights Christian School. For more than 19 years she worked for Preferred Family Healthcare as a program coordinator. On May 14, 2019 she was united in marriage to Joshua Adam McKinnis in Sarcoxie. McKinnis resided in the Oronogo area most of her life before moving to Sarcoxie.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
McKinnis is survived by her husband; children, Levi McKinnis, Malachi McKinnis, David Yung, Jaykob McKinnis and Jessica Yung, all of Sarcoxie and Grace Keeling (Tristian) of Webb City; two grandchildren; her parents; siblings, Tim West of Oronogo and Jessica Neff (Chris) of Joplin; grandfather, Jim Grider of Oronogo and niece, Lily Neff as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were held June 19, 2021 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie. Burial followed at Sarcoxie Cemetery. Visitation was held prior to the service. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie.
