Arnold P. Maples

Arnold P. Maples, 90, of Springdale, Ark., formerly of Shell Knob, passed away Jan. 20, 2020 in Springdale.
He was born Jan. 25, 1929 in Browns Spring, to Ward and Mary (Childers) Maples. In 1947 in Marionville, he married Neoma McCullah, who preceded him in death Sept. 10, 2019.
Maples grew up and received his education in Marionville, where he graduated from high school. At age 16 he learned to operate the telegraph and went to work for the Frisco Railroad. A few years later he went to work for Rock Island. He retired in 1988. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lowell, Ark.
Surviving are: sons, Dennis (Pat) Maples of Columbia  and Danny (Brenda) Maples of Olathe, Kan.; daughter, Deyann (Bob) Corbin of Springdale, Ark.; brother, Kenneth Maples of Marionville; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Clarence and Willis Maples; and sister Kathryn Faucher.
Services were held Jan. 25, 2020 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial was at Marionville IOOF Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
