Bill Elliott

Bill Elliott, age 90, formerly of Aurora, Missouri, passed away on March 25, 2022, in Springfield, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.T. and Edna Elliott, a sister, Estella Watson (Irv), and a brother, Charles Elliott.
He is survived by close friend Harlan Mieswinkel, nieces, Alta Faye Watson Fenton (Gary), Erma Lou Elliott Wiginton (Jim), Linda Elliott Case, Joanna Watson Christopher (Gordon) and nephew Russell Lee Elliott (Gwen) and numerous great nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Betty Combs Elliott.
Bill graduated from Aurora High School in 1949 and lived most of his life near Aurora. He was a dairy farmer and showed registered Jerseys for several years. Having served two years in the United States Army he was proud of his country and his nation’s values. Bill was employed by Aurora Juvenile Shoe factory as well as Lawrence County Courthouse. He had a natural gift for both interior and exterior design and landscaping. He took great pride in the houses in which he lived, and they were always pristine inside and out. As a young man Bill developed a love for southern gospel music and sang in a gospel quartet for several years.
A graveside service under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, was held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022, at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
