Bonita Ellen McKinley

Bonita Ellen McKinley, age 72, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at the Mt. Vernon Place Care Center in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. She was born September 6, 1949, in Olympia, Washington, the daughter of Robert Dean and Alta Jane (Busby) Werner.
Bonita worked at Able 2 in Cassville, Missouri. She was a member of the Aurora First Baptist Church, loved to listen to Kenny Rogers, bowling, embroidering, playing bingo, meeting new people and going to Camp Wonderland at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Bonita is survived by two sisters, Diana Covel of Aurora, Missouri and Rebecca DeRuyter and her husband, Richard, of Verona, Missouri; brother-in-law, Doug Kauffman, of Oklahoma and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Bonita was preceded in death by her parents, Robert McKinley and Jane Werner and her husband, Robert, and two sisters, Roberta Monnig and Marcella Kauffman.
A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora. Burial followed at the Youngberg Memorial Gardens, in Verona, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made payable to Wonderland Camp in care of the funeral home.
