Burnett Edwin Waltrip, Jr.

Burnett Edwin Waltrip, Jr., 64, passed away on Saturday Jan. 22, 2022 at Northwest Medical Center in Ark. He was born in Monett on March 14, 1957 to Burnett Edwin Waltrip Sr. and Lucy May Waltrip.
He was united in marriage to his wife, Mary, in Eureka Springs, Ark. on Nov. 15, 1995. They were blessed with four children.
Waltrip was a lifelong resident of the Monett community. He held a long career at Tyson in Monett until he retired in 2019.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Burnett Edwin Waltrip Sr. and Lucy May Waltrip; and one brother: Raymond Waltrip.
Waltrip is survived by wife: Mary Katherine of Monett; daughter: Brandi Armstrong (Rob) of Springfield; son: Cody Waltrip of Monett, daughter: Daysha Watkins (Eddie) of Monett, and son: Ethan Waltrip of Monett; five grandchildren; siblings; John Waltrip, Roy Waltrip, Paul Waltrip, Sue Clevenger, Jack Waltrip and Margaret “Pete” Bandy.
Visitation for Waltrip was from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday Jan. 30, 2022 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Monday Jan. 31, 2022 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett. Burial followed services at the Oakdale Cemetery in Monett.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
