Candy Lynn Elizabeth Hubert

Candy Lynn Elizabeth Hubert, age 60, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 10:18 a.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at her home.  She was born September 21, 1961, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Robert Lee and Mary Ellen (Jenkins) Huffer.
Candy was an enrollment agent for H&R Block for 28 years and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Republic, Missouri.
On June 24, 1978, she married Steven Ray Hubert in Junction City, Kansas.
Candy is survived by her husband, Steven of 43 years; daughter, Christy Burnett and her husband, David and son, Steven Hubert II and his wife, Oksana, all of Mt. Vernon; eight grandchildren, Sarah Clevenger, Elizabeth Huff, Juliana Carnahan, Hanna Wilson, Dalton Hubert, Kylee Hubert, Matvey Rotsevenkov and Alisa Rotsevenkova; six great-grandchildren, Greyson, Isabella, Camden, Rynlee, Brenton and Caisen; one sister, Elaine Werner of Jefferson City, Missouri; five brothers, Jeff Huffer and his wife, Mary, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Ted Huffer of Mt. Vernon, Chip Huffer and his wife, Renee, of Bremen, Ohio, Randy Huffer and his wife, Laura, of Columbus, Ohio, and Roger Huffer and his wife, Amy, of Gainesville, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Candy was preceded in death by her father, Robert Huffer; mother, Mary Ellen Werner; sister, Cindy Carlson and three brothers, Richard, Robert, and Walter Huffer.
Candy was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma.  She was a firm believer in the saving grace of Jesus Christ and taught Sunday School for 25 years.  She was loving, self-less, devoted and a friend to all she met.  She loved all and blessed many.  She will be sincerely missed.
A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, with burial following at the Mt. Vernon IOOF Cemetery.  Visitation was held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2021, in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the Tupelo Children’s Mansion, in care of the funeral home.
