Carlton Russell Meyer

Carlton Russell Meyer, 74, of Sarcoxie, passed away Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
Meyer was born on June 13, 1947 in Fergus Falls, Minn. to the union of the late Walter H. and Irene E. (Rossow) Meyer. On June 25, 1965 he was united in marriage to Patricia Cunningham, together they shared 56 years. Meyer retired from Tamko Building Products after 35 years of dedicated service. He also was employed with Kenny Neal Ford, and was currently working for Jay Hatfield in Sarcoxie. He also served as a fire fighter as well as police and ambulance reserve.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister.
Meyer is survived by his wife, Patty; children, Stacy Fox (Josh), of Quapaw, Okla., Russell Meyer of Sarcoxie, Shannon Dalton of Carthage and Randy Meyer, of Sarcoxie; eight grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; two sisters; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, with Pastor Kenneth Filsinger officiating. Visitation was 12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
