Carol Joan Merrill

Carol Joan Merrill, 73, passed away May 17, 2021 at her home in Carthage. Merrill was born Jan. 2, 1948 in Fort Knox, Ken. to Arthur and Mary Rose Hancock.
She met Fred Merrill at a church hayride and they have been together since. They were married for 55 years; he survives.
Merrill is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Teresa Jirik of Minneapolis, Minn., and Susan Richmond (Darrell) of Carthage and seven grandchildren.
A Rosary was held May 21, 2021. A Graveside memorial service followed at Park Cemetery in Carthage.
