Carol Olsen

 Carol Olsen, 74, passed away Dec. 10, 2019. She was born in Mt. Vernon to Leo and Virginia Buehler. She attended Mt. Vernon schools. She had several career changes but her final job before retirement was working for Community Care College in Tulsa, Okla. as a successful student recruiter. In 2017 she married Chris Olsen. She was a member of Sweet Adelines.
She is survived by: her husband Chris Olsen of Olympia, Wash.; children, Greg (Felicia) Shepherd Tampa, Fla., David (Jen) Shepherd of Wilmington, N.C., Jennifer (Jason) Keller of Skiatook, Okla., Angela Birmingham of Springfield, Lindsay Shepherd of San Marcos, Calif.; siblings, Edwin Buehler and  Rita Turner-Dobso; 11 grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
 Funeral services will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home in Springfield Jan. 18, 2020 at 10 a.m.
