Carolyn Jean Meier

Carolyn Jean Meier, 91, of Mt. Vernon passed away on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at home. She was born July 21, 1934, in Greene County, the daughter of the late Laverna and Della (Sullivan) Meier.
She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. She was a babysitter and a member of the Family of Christ Church in Mt. Vernon.
She is survived by her friend and caregiver, Jeanne Hart, of Mt. Vernon and her church family and friends.
A visitation under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon was held from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, at the Family of Christ Church in Mt. Vernon, with a funeral service following at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial followed at the Ash Grove Cemetery in Ash Grove.
