Charles “Keith” Lawson

Charles “Keith” Lawson, 61, passed away on July 12, 2026. He was born Aug. 5, 1964, in Aurora to Charles and Linda Lawson.
 
He attended and graduated from Aurora High School in 1983. After graduation, he spent several years with Daves Custom Cabinets, and worked for Kirk Strohm Construction in Cape Fair, building custom homes for twenty-one years. He spent the last years at Alpine Wood Products, and remodeling homes. He served his community as a Lieutenant with the Aurora Rural Fire Department.
 
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Anderson) Lawson; her children Ebony and Kevin Doucette, Springfield, Parker and Derica Anderson, Kansas City, and Dallas Anderson, Kansas City; his mother, Linda Lawson, Aurora; his sister, Shelly and Tracy Sickler, Springfield; his paternal grandmother, Ella May Ramel, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. 
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Lawson; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Audra Lawson; aunt and uncle, Billy Joe and Josey Lawson, and Walter and Martha Lawson; maternal grandparents, Robert and Ruth Vanderhoof; his uncle, Kenny (Doughtery) Vanderhoof; and his mother-in-law, Patricia Carnes.
 
A casual celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday August 29, at Union Grove Church  located at 21951 Lawrence 1222, Aurora.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for a headstone and burial.
