Charles Richard “Charley” Johnson

Charles Richard “Charley” Johnson, age 80, of Miller, Missouri, passed away at 8:24 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.  He was born June 17, 1939, in Lawrence County, Missouri, the son of Hezekiah B. and Dorothy B. Johnson.  
Charley was a 1958 graduate of Miller High School and was a United States Army veteran.  He was an owner/operator truck driver for over 50 years and was a member of the Ozark Area Racing Hall of Fame.
Charley is survived by two sons, Richie Johnson and Robbie Johnson and his wife, Sonya, and their mother, Marty Johnson all of Miller; daughter-in-law, Judy Johnson, of Miller; three brothers, Wayne Johnson and his wife, Rosemary, of Miller, Jack Johnson of Wichita, Kansas  and Lester Johnson of Ozark, Missouri; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Charley was preceded in death by his parents, Hezekiah and Dorothy, son, Rayme Johnson and sister, Patsy White.
A private family burial will be held at the Davis Cemetery, under the direction of the Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home in Miller.
A celebration of Charley’s life will be held at a later date.
