Clyde Walker Davis

Clyde Walker Davis, 81, of Marionville, formerly of Cassville, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022. Davis, son of David and Lucy (Matthews) Davis, was born on May 25, 1940, in Smithdale, Miss. Davis was a proud member of the Army National Guard, learning many skills that helped him throughout life such as that of being a heavy equipment operator, and went on to work many years for the County of Orange, Calif. until his retirement. Upon moving to Cassville, he started C & J Prop Repair. On July 2, 1960, he married Jean Ann Wade; she survives.    
He was a member of Chapel of Grace Church in Monett and was a past member of the First Christian Church in Cassville.  
Additional survivors include one daughter, Kerri Michelle Poss (Douglas), of Riverside, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Roy Davis, of Crystal Springs, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews.   
In addition to his parents, Davis was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Jean Davis-Ramos; one great-granddaughter, Jude K. Williams; five brothers; and one sister.   
Memorial services were at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at Chapel of Grace Church in Monett.  
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home & Crematory, Cassville.
