Dale Lee Stotts

Dale Lee Stotts, son of Vernon Dale Stotts and Mary Rae (Burns) Stotts on July 19, 1948. Stotts was a longtime resident and business-man of Monett. He began his education at the Plymouth Elementary School on Euclid Ave. and was part of the Monett High School graduating class of 1966. Stotts furthered his education by attending Crowder College where he earned a degree in design drafting. Upon the failing health and death of his father Vernon in May of 1970, Stotts took over his father’s business Stotts Engine Service, established in 1960 in Monett. Stotts continued in the business working on most anything with a small engine until his death on May 23, 2021.
Stotts met the love of his life, Jane Olson, the daughter of Henry and Mildred Olson. The two were married Jan. 26, 1973 and enjoyed 47 years together. They had a daughter, Cynthia Dawn Feb. 13, 1977.
Stotts was a Christian man, accepting Christ Jesus as his Lord and Savior early in his life at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Monett. Later he joined the First Baptist Church in Monett with his wife, where he remained an active member until his death.
Stotts was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia (Matt) Nason; brother, David and wife Cheryl; niece, Lisa and husband Justin and their son Jacob; nephew, Ryan and a host of friends.
The family received friends May 27, 2021 at Waymark Church, formerly First Baptist Church, Monett. Funeral services were held May 28, 2021 at the church followed by graveside services at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett. Memorials may be made to the Barry-Lawrence County Development Center. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
