Darla Anita Brigman

Darla Anita Brigman, 71, of Aurora passed away peacefully on Jan. 9, 2026, in her home.
Born on Sept. 7, 1954, in Monett, she was the daughter of Nova and Franklin Williams.
Franklin served in the military, leading the Williams family to move around the Midwest and Southwest United States during her childhood. The family would move between Missouri, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas.
She married the love of her life, Doyle Brigman, Sr. on July 21, 1974, enjoying more than 51 years of marriage. The couple met when she was working as a carhop at Dogs & Suds in Aurora, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love and devotion.
She and Doyle settled into their Aurora home in 1975, where they lived for more than 50 years.
She is survived by her husband, Doyle Brigman, Sr., of Aurora; her son Doyle Brigman, Jr., of Republic, his wife Jennifer Brigman and their four children; her son Kyle Brigman, of Springfield and his wife Lauren Brigman, and two expectant children; and her daughter Crystal Brigman Mahaney, of Kansas City and her husband Kevin Mahaney. She is also survived by her siblings Deeanna Huey and her husband James “Bob” Huey, of Verona; Stephen Williams, of Manhattan, Kan.; and Margo Moses, of Monett; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Dennis Williams.
Funeral services were held at noon on Thursday,
Jan. 15, in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Orange Cemetery. Visitation was held at 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday in the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel.
