Darlene McCracken

Darlene McCracken, 83, of Purdy passed awayon Sunday Sept. 12, 2021. She was born in Exeter on Sept. 12, 1938; the daughter of the late Garr and Blanche Cole. She was united in marriage on March 22, 1986 in Purdy to Jimmy Wayne McCracken; he preceded her in death on July 14, 2007.
She was retired from FASCO in Cassville, and helped out in the print shop at Jack Henry and Associates in Monett. She loved gardening and fishing and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Purdy.
McCracken is survived by one son Lewis Marion Martin Jr. of Monett; two daughters: Lora Wilkins (Steven) of Monett and Patty Chardon (Carlos) of Purdy; two brothers: Russell Cole of Wheaton and John Cole of Exeter; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Garr and Blanche; first husband Lewis Marion Martin Sr. in 1969; three brothers: Cal, Bill and Todd; one sister: Helen, and one grandson Shane.
Visitation for McCracken was held from 12- 2 p.m. on Thursday Sept. 16, 2021 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Funeral services immediately followed visitation at 2 p.m. on Thursday Sept. 16, 2021 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Burial followed services at the Arnhart Cemetery in East Purdy.
