Dewana Jean Koehler

Dewana Jean Koehler, 63, of Aurora passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, at her home. She was born Aug. 17, 1962, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Thomas Eugene and Ruby Kay (Crabtree) Foster.
She was a 1980 graduate of Purdy High School, in Purdy. She was the founder and owner and operator of Blackbird Grill in Aurora for many years.
She is survived by three daughters, Megan Cox and her husband Justin, Christina Wittenborn and her husband Travis and Selena Koehler, all of Aurora; one son, Trevor Koehler, of Veron; her mother Kay Halvorson, of Shell Knob; two sisters, Glenda Foster, of Aurora and Valita Thompson, of Flossmoor, Ill.; one brother, Tommy (Heather) Foster, of Aurora; two cousins, Carla (Wayne) Franks, of Webb City and Pam Verstrate, of Monett; five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Foster; her maternal grandmother Ruby Arnsmeyer; and her aunt and uncle, Donna and Alvin Parker.
A visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, with a funeral service following at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
