Dolly Jo Carter

Dolly Jo Carter, 63, of Monett, passed away March 13, 2020, while at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born on Feb. 18, 1957 in Gold Beach, Ore., to the late Jesse T. and Barbara Jo (Roddy) Willis. Carter was a member of the Monett Church of Christ and worked as an office manager for Sani Kleen Tank Wash in Mt. Vernon.
In 1982 in Oklahoma City, Okla., she married Marty Eugene Barten. To this union, two children were born. He preceded her in death March 29, 1995. She later married Randy Lane Carter in 1996 in Eureka Springs, Ark.
Survivors include: husband, Randy, of the home; sons, Cory Carter, of Monett, Eric Carter, of Arnold and Tim (Krystal) Barten of Monett; daughters, Leann (David) Schmidt of Show Low, Ariz. and Teresa (Adam) Shawley of Springfield; brothers, Ed Willis and wife Gizelle, of Nixa, Carl (Cheryl) Willis of Monett and Billy (Kami) Willis of Monett; sister, Phyllis (Danny) Stewart of Nixa; sister-in-law, Raeanna (Charlie) Zang of Lebanon, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Buchanan Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Orange Cemetery in Aurora. Memorials may be made to the Monett Church of Christ in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett.
