Donald Dene Aust

Donald Dene Aust, age 56, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 2:17 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at his home. He was born October 22, 1965, in Salinas, California, the son of Spurgeon and Clara (Young) Aust.
Donald was a 1984 graduate of Lindhurst High School in Olivehurst, California. He was a United States Navy veteran and owner of Don’s Auto Repair, in Aurora, Missouri.
On October 24, 1987, he married Teresa Costa, in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Donald is survived by his wife of 34 years, Teresa; three children, Eric Oie and his wife, Jacquelyn, of Riverside, California, Brandy Goritschnig and her husband, Claus, of Hamburg, Germany and Donald Aust II of Aurora, Missouri; two sisters, Irene “Penny” Whitehurst and Judy Wharff; six brothers, Rubin, Larry, Michael Sr., Gene, Matthew and Ron Aust; three grandchildren, Melody Howard, Claus Goritschnig II and Juliana Goritschnig and several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Spurgeon, and Clara; one granddaughter, Nevaeh Aust; one sister, Clara Webb and two brothers, David Aust, Sr. and John Aust, Sr.
A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
