Dorothy Frances (Dieterich) Horine

Dorothy Frances (Dieterich) Horine of Springfield, passed away on Jan. 24, 2022, in her home after a brief illness. She was born in Monett on March 8, 1925, the daughter of Joe Dieterich and Louise (Diebold) Dieterich.
She married Warren Leon Horine on Sept. 16, 1948 and was united in this marriage for over 69 years.
Horine was a founding member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and volunteered in many ministries including St. Dorothy’s Guild.
Horine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Warren, her sisters Beatrice, Josie Linebarger and Mary Rolleg. She is survived by her sister Joann Combes, daughters Christy Broekhoven (Richard), Kathy Daves (Don), Lora McDaniel (Chuck); sons Bruce Horine (Marcia) and Rob Horine (Jan); 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A prayer service was at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with visitation that followed from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass was at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 28, 2022 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial was at 1 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
