Dorothy Jean Grimm

Dorothy Jean Grimm, 87, of Sarcoxie passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the Sarcoxie Nursing Center.
She was born Dec. 12, 1934 in Ruleville, Miss. to the union of the late Elmer and Ruby (White) Williams. She was a graduate of E.E. Greenville High School in Greenville, Miss. On Dec. 30, 1954 she was united to Arlo Grimm. Together they shared 54 years until his passing on Sept. 2, 2009. In 1974 she went to work for McCune Brooks Hospital in Carthage retiring in 1995 after 21 years of dedicated service. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Church of Christ, and a past member of BPW in Sarcoxie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one great-great-grandson and brother, Billy Williams.
Grimm is survived by her children, David Grimm (Karen), of Excelsior Springs, Paul Grimm (Tammy), of Sarcoxie and Michele Barchak (Joseph), of Wentworth; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Agnes Taylor, Greenville, Miss.; several nieces and nephew; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Grimm were 2 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2022 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie with Wilbur Swearingen officiating. Visitation was at 1 p.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to Mount Vernon Church of Christ or St. Jude’s in care of the funeral home.
